National Records of Scotland logo
Based in Edinburgh, the National Records of Scotland is a non-Ministerial Department of the Scottish Government. Its purpose is to collect, preserve and produce information about Scotland's people and history and make it available to inform current and future generations. It holds historical records created by businesses, landed estates, families, churches and other corporate bodies.
Dunblane is within the Stirling Council area. The council archives are free to use and they hold a large variety of records and collections.
CWGC honours and cares for the men and women of the Commonwealth who died in the First and Second World Wars, ensuring they will never be forgotten. Its work began more than a century ago building cemeteries at 23,000 locations all over the world.
