July Exhibition – The Atlantic Wall at Sheriffmuir

Dunblane Museum

Added on 07 July 2019

This Exhibition displays the part Dunblane played in the D-Day landings of the Second World War 75 years ago. It shows how the plans for Hitler’s Atlantic Wall were copied & smuggled out of France to Britain & replica walls were built in various parts of Britain so that our forces could practise breaching them. One was built on Sheriffmuir and parts of it are still visible today.
